15th November 2009 – County 7’s Competiton
Match
Report for County 7's
To
start with thanks to all for a real team effort. Loads of parents
( & sisters ) there not just in a supporting capacity but
willing to act as runners, pitch officials, desk control, coffee
pourers etc... so thanks very much to all.
On
the playing front. Well I thought our two teams did well in retrospect.
Gold
(Coached by Neil) were knocked out in the quarter finals by the
team which won the competition and to my knowledge we gave them
their tightest game, they blitzed some of the other teams but
managed to beat us by only one score (correct me if I'm wrong)
The
Blues (Coached by Andy) went through to the Shield competition
after the group stages and did a fantastic job in getting to the
final where they competed well.
All
in all from what I saw and heard we played superbly in patches
and the kids should be really proud of themselves.
From my angle I think I had an easy ride just refereeing for the
day so many thanks for all your hard work and enthusiasm.
